General Overview

PGA Jr. League is a new and unique competition format for young golfers designed to create a “Little League atmosphere” on the golf course. Practices begin May 1. Regular season play happens in June and July. Postseason play begins in late July or early August. Teams consist of 10-12 players from different golf clubs around the Grand Strand. Format is a modified Match Play Format each week against a different club.  The League is entering its fifth season and growing every year around the U.S.A.
At the end of the season, usually late July, one team will be crowned City Champion.  An All Star team will be chosen from the Myrtle Beach teams to participate in Regional competitions.  The National Championship will take place at the end of the summer in Florida.

Each player that signs up receives a team cap, jersey, bag tag, and golf balls.  Included in the program are weekly matches and practices with expert instructors.  Cost is only $250.  To be eligible for this year’s competition, players must not turn 14 before August 1, 2019.
